Solingen | April 2012.
On April 28th and 29th, 2012, the “Messer Macher Messe” took place in Solingen, which has meanwhile developed into the largest exhibition for high-quality, handcrafted knives in Germany. This year there were 90 exhibitors from 18 nations – and I was one of them.
The great atmosphere, the good conversations between colleagues and the great interest of my customers would have been enough to make this weekend a success.
But everything was crowned by the expert jury, which chose my semi-integral “Art Nouveau” (No. 315) as the knife of the year 2012 in the category “Fixed Knife / Hunting Knife”.
I am particularly pleased about this award, as I was able to receive it for the second time this year after 2008!
